Adidas ZG23 Golf Shoes

Adidas ZG23 Golf Shoes

Whether you're a tournament-level golfer or a weekend warrior, the right shoes can make a huge difference. From traction to comfort, adidas has you covered with a wide range of styles that are designed for both performance and style.

The adidas ZG23 is the lightest shoe in the line-up and has a BOA fit system, hybrid Lightstrike midsole and Sprintskin microfiber-leather upper that delivers all-day support for powerful drives. Its traction ensures you're always in control.

Lightweight

Lightweight is an essential feature of any golf shoe, as a good pair will save you aches and pains throughout a round and protect your feet from the long hours spent walking. The Adidas ZG23 Golf Shoes are lightweight but not at the expense of comfort and stability, ensuring that you can focus on your game without worrying about slipping or losing your balance.

The shoes are 20 per cent lighter than the Tour 360 XT and have a new hybrid Lightstrike midsole that uses 40% less EVA material to provide superior cushioning. This is combined with Boost foam under the heel for added stability and comfort, while the Sprintskin upper is made from polyurethane that is created using recycled materials to reduce waste and help end plastic.

In addition to the lightweight construction, the shoes also have a waterproof outer material that helps keep your feet dry in damp conditions. The breathable inner sole also ensures that your feet remain comfortable, allowing you to focus on the game.

Another great feature of the shoes is the Ultra-Light Stability Fin, which wraps around the full length of the shoe to give you greater stability in areas where you need it most. This is especially useful for those who hit off the ground or change speeds on the backswing, as this fin will keep your foot from shifting too much in these areas.

The shoes also have a 6 replaceable PINS spike system that gives you traction on any type of terrain. The outsole of the shoes is engineered to help you move quickly and effortlessly, while the INSITE sock liner inside keeps your feet cool and comfortable all round.

This shoe also has a BOA closure system that allows you to customise your fit, ensuring that you can get the most out of your shoe. The shoes have a good, solid feel and they run true to size.

The shoes are also available in a range of colourways. Those looking for something more subtle can opt for the all black or white pairs while those who want to make a statement with their shoes can choose one of the brighter coloured models. The 'acid yellow/blue oxide' pair is the most colourful of the lot and can certainly stand out on the course, however there are plenty of other colours to choose from as well.

Stability

Adidas, the world’s largest sportswear company, has redesigned its ZG23 footwear model for increased comfort, stability and traction. Designed with the help of heat-map studies, these shoes are engineered to optimize every component in the outsole and upper to deliver enhanced performance on the course.

The redesigned upper features SPRINTSKIN, a lightweight and waterproof technology made with innovative textiles and polyurethane films to enhance lateral movement while delivering superior stability and comfort. The upper is backed with a one-year waterproof warranty and a 90-day comfort guarantee.

As expected, ZG23 also includes adidas’ Boost midsole cushioning system which is the best cushioning in the game for walking comfort and energy return on the golf course. The brand also updated the outsole with ULTRA-LIGHT STABILITY FIN, a 3-D shape that provides lateral support during weight shifts of the swing.

Lastly, ZG23’s outsole features D-TRAXION and six-cleat SWINGPLANE TRACTION to provide traction on all types of surfaces. This design is based on research of Tour players’ swings and heat-map studies to determine where pressure should be placed on the ground to increase grip.

The outsole is constructed with a clean, premium microfiber material that’s waterproof and anti-stretch. This technology allows for a more consistent fit and prevents the shoe from twisting during a swing, which can cause a golfer to lose balance on the green.

Another key improvement is the redesigned LIGHSTRIKE and LIGHTSTRIKE PRO cushioning systems that are similar to those in adidas basketball and running shoes. These systems feature firmer LIGHTSTRIKE on the perimeter to offer lateral stability and softer LIGHTSTRIKE PRO inside the midsole for optimal cushioning and comfort.

These technologies give ZG23 a distinct edge over its competition in terms of traction and stability. They also help make these shoes a must-have on the course.

ZG23 is available in five models including men’s and women’s laced, men’s and women’s BOA, and a simplified laced offering for junior golfers. Retail is $200 for the laced version and $220 for the BOA version.

Traction

Two years after the successful launch of the ZG21 spiked golf shoe, adidas has redesigned the outsole and upper to increase traction, stability and comfort in its new ZG23 footwear model. This lightweight performance shoe is made in part with recycled materials and will be launched on March 3, 2023 via the official e-commerce site, the CONFIRMED app and select retailers.

The upper of the ZG23 features clean, premium microfiber material that is waterproof and anti-stretch for a comfortable fit that also helps provide more consistent stability. This waterproof material is also used for the outsole, which features the same six-cleat SWINGPLANE TRACTION from ZG21 as well as D-TRAXION traction technology.

D-TRAXION was created by combining data from Tour players' swings and heat map studies to create an algorithm that precisely determines the location and height of all the secondary traction lugs. The result is a grippy outsole that provides superior traction across all types of terrain and conditions.

Ultra-Light Stability Fin has also been updated for the ZG23, which debuted on the ZG21 shoe model and is now a 3-D fin that wraps around the shoe's upper to help golfers stay stable during their swing as the weight shifts throughout the swing. This 3D shape is designed to accommodate a variety of swing speeds from tour professionals to amateurs, giving them the added lateral support they need for a more complete and stable swing.

LIGHTSTRIKE and LIGHTSTRIKE PRO

The revamped midsole of the ZG23 features adidas' unique cushioning system, which consists of firmer and more stable LIGHTSTRIKE and softer and more cushioned LIGHTSTRIKE PRO. The firmer LIGHTSTRIKE encompasses the perimeter of the midsole for greater lateral stability, while the more cushioned LIGHTSTRIKE Pro is placed inside the midsole's frame to offer amazing comfort and stability while walking or swinging a golf club.

Comfort

The Adidas ZG23 Golf Shoes are the brand's latest performance sneaker model, and it's built to give golfers the comfort they need for long rounds on the course. The shoe is 20 per cent lighter than the Tour360 XT, yet still has the cushioning and support to help players feel comfortable during the round.

This is due in part to the new LIGHTSTRIKE / LIGHTSTRIKE PRO technology, which features both firmer and softer cushioning systems in the midsole. The firmer LIGHTSTRIKE encompasses the perimeter of the shoe's frame to offer lateral stability, while the softer LIGHTSTRIKE PRO is used inside of the midsole to provide amazing cushioning and comfort for walking and swinging a golf club.

A revamped outsole and upper are also a key component to the shoe's comfort. The outsole is designed to deliver better grip while the upper uses a clean and premium microfiber material that's waterproof and anti-stretch, allowing for more consistent stability.

The D-TRAXION outsole is an improved six-cleat design that was developed by combining data from tour professionals and heat map studies to determine where pressure is placed under the foot, and using an algorithm to generate the location and height of traction for each of the lugs. This technology is designed to provide more traction on any type of surface, including wet or dry terrains.

Another feature is the Sprintskin synthetic upper, which is made from a four-layer material that's lightweight and water-resistant. It has a textured pattern that's easy to clean, and the shoe's BOA Fit System provides added stability.

Lastly, the shoe's upper uses No-Show technology, which combines hydrophilic and hydrophobic yarns to help hide the appearance of sweat. This technology has been a big hit on the TOUR and is a great way for players to stay cool while they play in hot weather.

The shoes will be available in five models, including men's and women's laced options, men's and women's BOA(r), and a simplified laced offering for junior golfers. The shoes will be available to purchase starting March 3 at Aslan Golf.
