So what is the actual story with Callaway and TaylorMade?

Well for many years now manufacturers have been searching and pushing the boundaries of modern technology and increasingly worrying the rules officials who govern the game of golf.

However the latest technology involves sliding weights and moveable weight technology. Not new technology I here everyone saying........and they would be right. Remember Mizuno's version of the sliding weights some years ago?

Well, this technology has been around for over 10 years.... So why now has the world exploded with patents and wars of words? Does this purely boil down to profits? Was the TaylorMade SLDR Driver rushed out to counteract Callaway's Slider project?

We will never know, but don't let your thoughts betray you. Callaways X Hot Driver was certainly a move in the write direction for Callaway. Back to basics with the overriding key aspect being Distance. Longest for us on test this year.

So we now have TaylorMade SLDR and whats next for Callaway..... Well we already know about the Callaway X2Hot Driver for next year, but what about the Callaway premium driver. X2Hot will surely conquer that growing market from Callaway of distance bought drivers. But what will there premium offer cover?
