The New Taylormade Stealth 2 Driver

TaylorMade Golf Company last year transformed the course of driver technology using the revolutionary Stealth Carbonwood(tm) drivers that feature the first of its kind lighter and more efficient 60X carbon Twist Face(tm). After a stellar year on the market and on professional courses around the globe carbon-face driver performance is just beginning to take off with the launch of Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2 and Stealth 2 TaylorMade unveils Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2 Plus Stealth 2 as well as the Stealth 2 HD drivers.

Stealth 2. Carbonwood drivers blend the speed of Stealth with advancements in technology to provide a new level of forgiveness.

Inverted Cone Technology

The new face design builds on the speed-producing performance of the original 60X Carbon Twist Face which maximized the transfer of energy to achieve fast balls, Stealth 2's latest face design of Stealth 2 features an advanced version of Inverted Cone Technology (ICT). Its ICT is a brand new technology. ICT was designed specifically to keep the speed of the ball on strikes that are off centre and improve forgiveness or, as we like to call it called: forgiveness.

A more prominent ICT creates a more pronounced ICT. It also results in a face that is around the edges, and a larger central face, designed to increase speed throughout the outer edges. Stealth 2.'s facial features weigh only 24g (2g less than the initial Stealth faces) and is engineered to be able to expand the COR area to provide a bigger sweet spot and increased efficiency across all faces.

The more carbon, the BETTER

Stealth 2 is the first driver ever developed by TaylorMade that contains the most carbon (including composites) than any other substance in terms of volume. TaylorMade has steadily increased carbon usage in the past five years. When you compare it to the first generation Stealth there's an increase of 75 percent in carbon used in Stealth 2 Plus, and almost the same the amount in Stealth 2. Stealth 2 HD.

What is more Carbon means? More carbon creates an additional mass of discretionary which can be moved to achieve greater moment of inertia (MOI) and the best the CG's location. The added carbon has allowed our engineers to improve the MOI total in Stealth 2 Plus. Stealth 2 Plus driver by nine percent over Stealth Plus.

Carbon is present on Stealth 2 drivers, which have: Carbon Crown, Carbon Reinforced Composite Ring, Carbon Sole and the 60X Carbon Twist Face. The only elements made of steel that are found in Stealth 2 clubheads is the titanium collars that is on top of the club , which is used to hold the hose as well as frames the face as well as the weights on the front and rear which vary depending on the model.

GROUNDBREAKING TECHNOLOGY REMAINS

This 60X Carbon Twist Face is protected by a cover made of polyurethane which is used to adjust spin and launch, allowing for the best the distance of the entire system regardless of conditions.

The Inertia Generator is still the main source of aerodynamic performance that is refined. This results in a smooth-fast head design that assists in the generation of swing speed on the downswing and also maintains an extremely high MOI for golfers of all levels.
