Mizuno Golf Irons 2023 - Which Iron Fits your game

Mizuno Golf Irons

Mizuno Golf Irons

Mizuno golf irons are some of the best in the game. They are known for being forged instead of cast. This means they will hold their shape more well and they will not be affected by the elements. Another plus is that they are very affordable. These irons are perfect for anyone looking to buy a set of clubs, no matter their skill level.

Forged rather than cast

If you are looking for the perfect irons for your game, you may want to take a close look at the Mizuno Golf Irons. This brand is known for the best forged irons on the market, including the JPX-900 line of irons.

Forged golf clubs are made from solid chunks of steel. The process involves heating the metal and then using a large pressing machine to mold it into the desired shape.

However, forged irons do not last as long as cast irons. Because of this, you should be aware of the different ways to care for your clubs. Proper storage and care are a great way to increase the life of your irons.

One of the benefits of having a forged iron is that it is easier to bend and shape, making it more playable. As a result, you will find it easier to make crisp contact with your shots.

However, the most significant benefit of forged irons is that they provide more feedback. A good forged clubhead will let you know when you hit the sweet spot and when you missed it. When you are playing a higher handicapper, this can be invaluable.

Depending on your budget and skill level, you can get the best of both worlds with a combination of forged and cast irons. The best forged irons are made with more carbon, which keeps the grain of the steel packed tight.

The best forged irons are also known for their sleek and stylish looks. Typically, they have a blade or muscle back design. These irons are less forgiving than cavity-back irons, but they do have added forgiveness.

M.Craft line

The Mizuno M.Craft putter line is a collection of mallet-like putters designed to deliver superior performance and stability. This series of putters comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Each one is specifically designed to suit different putting styles. Using a weight kit, you can easily alter the head weight of your putter for the best results.

There are three finishes available for your M.Craft putter: classic White Satin, bold Blue ION, and Black ION intense. They are all made of 1025 mild carbon steel for optimal performance. In addition to this, they have been CNC milled for precision and perfect shape.

Aside from these standard features, you can also choose from six different club heads for your M.Craft. These include traditional slant neck, mid-mallet square back, and face balanced wing mallet models. You can even add in an additional weight kit.

When you decide which model is right for you, you will need to take into account your putting arc and preferred style. If you have a strong arc, you will want to look for a model with a square back. On the other hand, if you tend to hit straighter shots, you will want a model with a slant neck.

Choosing the right putter can be difficult. But Mizuno is known for its precise designs and impeccable finish quality. This is especially true with its M.Craft line. Forged from premium 1025 mild carbon steel, it features a deep CNC face milling pattern that promotes a softer feel and pure roll. Its weight is also a touch heavier than a standard putter.

With a Mizuno putter, you can adjust the head weight with the use of a weight kit. This gives you the flexibility to change the weight by a few grams at a time to suit your style.

JPX921 Tour

The JPX 921 Tour irons are a new family of irons designed for elite tour players. These are a blend of classic muscle back lines and progressive sole shaping. They are also re-engineered to improve turf interaction around the green.

The JPX 921 Tour features a toe biased weighting, which allows players to feel a smoother turf interaction while hitting the ball. This design is reminiscent of the Mizuno MP-20, a popular model on tour.

While the JPX 921 Tour has a softer feel, it still provides good distance and shot control. It also has an increased sweet spot, and the CG is moved further away from the club axis, providing a more consistent strike.

This iron has a forged 1025E carbon steel body, which produces a buttery forged feel. The new cavity design enhances ball flight and softens impact.

The Aerotech SteelFiber i110 golf shaft is available in S, R, and CW Steel options. It has the same bend profile as the KBS TOUR, but with a lighter weight. i110 also offers vibration dampening. i110 also comes in a Black PVD finish.

These irons are forged in Hiroshima, Japan, where master forgemen have been creating world class irons for generations. A Pearl Brush finish helps reduce glare.

The JPX 921 Tour is a great iron for any player who wants a mixture of feel and workability. Their low offset and thicker backside help give the iron more spin, and their low centre of gravity provides greater accuracy.

They are also a great choice for any player looking to replace their current set of irons. These new models are ideal for the ball-striking control and workability they have become known for.

JPX Fli-Hi

The new Mizuno JPX Fli-Hi Golf Irons are an excellent choice for players looking for high performance irons. These clubs feature advanced technologies designed to deliver consistent distance, accuracy, and forgiveness.

The clubheads in the Mizuno JPX line feature progressive head shapes. The shape of the face is designed to launch the ball higher and have a more playable flight.

The clubface in the JPX Fli-Hi irons is made of 17-4 stainless steel. This material is thinner than traditional steel, which contributes to the faster ball speed. It also creates a larger sweet area.

The center of gravity in the club is deep and back. This is an ideal place to put weight because it helps you launch the club higher and produce more spin. Similarly, the Speed Bevel Sole design reduces turf drag at the impact.

The Mizuno JPX Fli-Hi hybrid is an excellent choice for players seeking a soft landing golf club. It offers excellent forgiveness and predictable ball flight.

The Mizuno JPX line also features the JPX Fli-Hi Steel Rescue. This is a hybrid designed to help you bridging between your short and long irons.

Designed to replace the worst performing long iron in your bag, the JPX Fli-Hi hybrid offers great forgiveness and an exceptional ball flight. You can pick up a set of these hybrids for just over one-third of the cost of the traditional iron.

Mizuno has made a name for itself in the golf industry by producing top-line forged player's irons. However, the company needed to adjust to the modern iron market. They did this by digitally scanning and reshaping their irons to create a master mold.

Ping G710

The PING G710 Mizuno Golf Irons are a great investment. They're the longest irons Ping has ever produced. These clubs have the potential to help mid to high handicap players launch their shots more accurately.

You can expect these irons to offer a high trajectory and forgiveness. The face has a variable thickness to optimize ball speed, regardless of where the contact is made.

In addition, they're equipped with Arccos sensors that allow for real-time GPS yardage information. This information can be accessed through an app or a smart watch.

The G710 irons also include a black PVD coating, which increases their performance on wet surfaces. They also have a wider sole, making them easier to hit out of tight lies.

These irons feature a maraging steel face, which is designed to ramp up ball speed. Its thin profile is also designed to increase face deflection.

This means that the Ping G710 Mizuno Golf Irons have a large sweet spot. It also has a high launch angle, giving you extra distance.

Another feature of the G710 irons is their hollow body construction. A hollow design allows the clubhead to transfer energy to the golf ball and results in more speed and a higher launch.

This is important because higher lofted clubs will result in higher spin rates. High-lofted irons can also be used to hit a club 15 yards farther.

Ping's hollow-body design also means that the irons are a lot more flexible. They also give you a nice sound when hitting the ball.

You can try out the Arccos Caddie Smart Grip, which includes an embedded sensor that can be accessed through an app on your phone. Using this system, you can record every shot and get a lot of useful data about your game.

Whatever type of player you are or aim to become Mizuno Golf has an iron model that suits your needs. Whether you are a low handicapper or a mid to high handicap golfer the latest 2019 line-up has something that's suits your eye.

Mizuno men's or ladies golf irons have never been one of the cheapest iron ranges on the market available to buy, however, they are designed and manufactured using the best quality materials and processes in the golfing world today.

As the saying goes "nothing feels like a Mizuno"

From the tour players grain flow forged irons to the chromoly irons aimed at the game improvement golfer, this golf club brand continues to be at the pinnacle of feel when it comes to golfing irons.

Mizuno have one of the simplest ranges in golf in my opinion, making it easier for you, the consumer to navigate choosing which set would suit your game and eye best. There are 2 main families:-

MP family - a better players or tour players iron, which has that classic tight club head with minimal offset and topline which the ball strikers amongst you love the look of at address.

JPX family - caters for every type of golfer. The JPX919 Tour is the model to go for if you are looking for a small compact head with thin top-line look at address and require workability, a soft feel and a little forgiveness.

At the other end of the spectrum in the JPX range is the JPX Hot Metal/Hot Metal Pro. If more ball speed is what you require then this is the model for you. The Chromoly 4140M head material in the JPX Hot Metal/Pro according to Mizuno offers a great balance between speed off the face and landing angles into the greens.

The Hot Metal is best for the golfer that needs a solid look at address, thick topline and slight offset which inspires confidence to golfers at the high end of the handicap scale, helping them to put a solid contact on every shot. All this is not at the expense of the expected Mizuno feel.

The JPX Hot Metal Pro offers all of the above but comes in a smaller profile. Which appeals to the golfer that needs that little bit of help on those shots not quite struck out of the centre of the face but prefers the look of better players iron, thinner topline and more compact head design.

On tour the JPX family has been proving quite a success winning back to back US Opens whilst also holding the USPGA Championship at the same time. Even though Brooks Koepka is not an official Mizuno tour player, it has not stopped him from trusting this manufacturer's golf clubs to propel him to his major title haul in recent years. Starting his success with the 900 Tour Series of Grain Flow Forged Irons to this years stunning USPGA victory at Bethpage Black using the new JPX919 Tour.

In fact, of the many victories in the past few years on the various professional tours, Only Eddie Pepperell, winner of the 2018 British Masters was a Mizuno sponsored player.

Many players whether you are a professional or recreational golfer choose Mizuno golf irons because of the feel and consistency you get from their golf clubs on every shot. Over many decades the name of Mizuno has become synonymous with superior quality when it comes to golf irons.

Due to the precision that is employed during the manufacturing process and attention to detail, this brand offers, you have great confidence that you can obtain consistent results and gapping throughout the bag from 3-PW.

The 2 main types of iron head are the Grain Flow Forged used in the JPX919 Tour/Forged and MP models. For players that prefer a soft feel off the face and maximum control then this is the head design for you.

Forged from a single billet of 1025E Pure Select mild carbon Steel. The Grain Flow Forged HD process concentrates the grain more tightly than standard forging processes which result in incredible precise feedback.

The JPX919 Forged model also has trace amounts of Boron infused in it which makes the steel billet 30% stronger. This allows the engineers more scope in a forged head. Such a feature allows amateur golfers the best of both worlds. Superior feel and distance, making this a popular choice amongst today's golfers of every skill level.

The other material used in the JPXHot/JPXHot Pro is Chromoly 4140M. Being a high resilient material, it allows for a new multi thickness face for astonishing ball speeds and feel.

As is the norm for golf club manufacturers if your a lefty like myself, the options are limited compared to our spoiled righthanded cousins. The options available to LH golfers are the MP-18 SC, JPX919 Forged and the JPX919 Hot Metal.

Although not a full compliment to choose from, there would appear to be a good cross section to choose from for us lefties. So there should be an iron which fits the profile you would be looking for in the Mizuno family.

One of the best reasons to choose Mizuno irons is their range of stock shafts, which come at no extra cost to the consumer. This can't be said about all golf manufacturers in the market today.

The customer has an extensive range to choose from, with around 18 different shaft types to pick from. The shaft options available are:-

Although there seems to be too many shafts to choose from, Mizuno have made navigating this minefield quite simple. Most Mizuno stockists, if not all have the Shaft Optimizer fitting tool. Basically this is a normal looking golf club which has some sophisticated electronic sensors built into it, to measure 5 of your main swing characteristics (Mizuno Swing DNA).

The 5 characteristics are Headspeed, Tempo, Toe Down, Kick Angle, Release Factor. You take three shots and make a note of these these 5 readings. Once you have all your results the fitter will load up the mizuno software on his pc and inputs the values into the program, this will then tell you which of the 3 mizuno shafts best fit your swing DNA.

To make sure that this is the best combination for you, the consumer can put his chosen head on the 3 different shaft options chosen by the software and hit some shots and get some real time feedback to nail down the best shaft fit for you.

An overhaul for 2019 has a major hardware upgrade, with a Gyro added to the Shaft Optimizer’s existing electronic sensors, allowing fitters to recommend a more accurate lie angle than the traditional lie board method. The Gyro enables the club’s swing plane to now be measured in 3D space along with shaft dynamics, ignoring face rotation through impact for a more accurate lie angle reading. Using a combination of the Gyro and sensors which run throughout the shaft, Mizuno is now able to capture 40 data points from every swing.
