GARY WOODLAND WINS US OPEN AND FIRST MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIP

CHICAGO, June 16, 2019 – Gary Woodland secured his first PGA TOUR Major victorytoday at the venerable 2019 US OPEN at Pebble Beach.

After making the turn with a two-shot lead, Woodland proved his mental tenacity as he embarked upon his biggest achievement. Using his Staff Model Blades, Woodland’s rock-solid iron play led to him being 2ndoverall in greens in regulation.

“It’s been a year of learning and progression. To win my first major here at the US Open in Pebble Beach is an unbelievable feeling,” said Woodland.

“This course is so tough. You need every edge possible to play your best, and with partners like Wilson and their Staff irons, I felt completely confident that I could make the shots I needed in crucial situations.”
