Evnroll Golf Putters - Five Striking New Models For 2023
Evnroll putters are designed to make the best of old and new technology. Their innovative face groove technology focuses on keeping your ball speeds consistent across the face of the putter, which means less miss-hits and more putts in the hole.
The grooves on the face of an Evnroll putter are wider in the middle and narrower on the edges. This creates a more forgiving face.
Sweet Face Technology
When the PGA Merchandise Show kicked off in 2016 it was hard to ignore the stunning 100% milled putters from Evnroll that incorporated Guerin Rife’s revolutionary “Sweet Face” Technology. Now two years later the company has unveiled five striking new models ahead of the 2018 season.
Sweet Face Technology is a unique face design that creates an even energy transfer across the face. This enables the ball to move forward in the air while minimizing dispersion for golfers.
Essentially it works like this: The grooves that run across the face are narrower in the center of the putter and gradually get wider toward the heel and toe of the putter face. This allows the putter to roll the ball smoothly at impact resulting in a high trajectory that increases the chances of catching the ball on target.
In tests, a putter with closely spaced grooves rolled the ball 25 feet when hit in the center of the face but a ball struck with grooves that were a quarter of the width of the face travelled just 23.5 feet. EVNROLL’s Sweet Face Technology incorporates this same concept in the design of the putter to maximize the chances of the ball hitting on the intended line when off-center.
The face of an Evnroll putter features a milling pattern that is shaped like a slightly curved inward v-shape from the toe to the heel. This progressively re-directs the ball back to the centre of the putter face eliminating dispersion for the ball.
Aside from helping to create a higher trajectory, the design of the face also helps to keep the face on line. This is because the weight in the back of the putter head is distributed equally to the perimeter of the putter head allowing the face to track on line with less face manipulation.
The design of the putter is extremely simple but incredibly effective and is used in some of the most well known putter brands throughout the world. This is a great choice for any player looking for a better performing putter and will help you to improve your score on the course.
Traditional Alignment & Sightlines
The putter is arguably the most important club in your bag. Choosing the right one for your eye and stroke can be a confidence-inspiring decision, as well as a deciding factor in the final score on the greens. A good flatstick is also a dependable tool that can help you bring your handicap down if used properly.
Traditional alignment and sightlines are an essential part of a confident and accurate putting performance, according to most golfers. Often this can be accomplished with simple lines and bars behind the putter face that can guide a player on the proper stroke path.
For example, Odyssey made a name for itself on models with two circles behind the face that could guide a golfer on a straight or broken putt path. Some putter makers go further by placing rear wings that kind of frame a golfer’s path, too.
But Evnroll takes it a step further by making sure that no matter where the strike occurs, the putter’s Sweet Face technology ensures that the ball is going to roll at consistent speeds to help keep your putts on line and roll straighter.
That’s because Sweet Face technology isn’t just about boosting speed in the toe and heel areas; it broadens the sweet spot across the whole contact area, standardising the transfer of energy throughout. This is done by milling a progressive pattern that not only widens the sweet spot but gently gears the ball to the centre, so off-centre putts roll the same distance as centre hits.
It’s this revolutionary milling that gives Evnroll’s putters their unique and patented name. “A lot of players were really upset because their putter faces didn’t have a sweet spot and they weren’t sure which ones were helping them roll the ball the right distance,” says Rife.
He went on to create an innovative putter design with closely spaced grooves that he claimed helped make the face roll at impact more smoothly and quickly. This is now a popular feature that you’ll see on many other high-quality putters.
Guerin Rife, a longtime golfer and designer, launched his first Evnroll putter in January of 2012. This innovative new range features a variety of different shapes and styles to suit the eye of every golfer, with both blade and mallet designs available. The Evnroll ER2 is a modern take on the classic Anser shape, while the ER2V is an effective mid-blade that features a single sightline and a wide sole.
Solid Milled Sound & Feel
For most golfers, the sound and feel of a putter is extremely important. That's because it can mean the difference between a good round and a great one. Evnroll putters offer a traditional feel that golfers will love.
In addition to the traditional milled sound, Evnroll putters also feature grooves that aid forward roll and help control speed and distance. This helps players control skidding that steers putts off their intended target line.
To further improve the performance of Evnroll putters, they also incorporate gearing technology that gently re-directs the ball back to the centre even on off-centre hits. This is a revolutionary advancement that is designed to aid distance control, which is a major contributor to holing more putts.
These putters also include a microhinge insert that flexes at impact to provide incredible gains in topspin and roll. Whether you're a high-handicapper or a beginner, the microhinge insert can help make your putting stroke easier and more consistent.
The microhinge technology on the Evnroll putters has been tested by experts to ensure that it will perform well at impact. It is a two-part insert with a stainless steel hinge plate backed by a soft thermoplastic elastomer that flexes at impact.
While the microhinge technology may seem like a small detail, it can make a huge difference in your putting game. For example, according to Odyssey research, most pros impart a forward roll on the ball at impact which helps the ball to stay on its intended path and speed. Amateurs, on the other hand, often impart a back spin which causes the ball to skid and bounce.
This is a major concern for many golfers and Evnroll has addressed this issue with their putters. All of their putters feature this technology which helps to ensure that the ball will roll off the face at a consistent speed and distance on heel or toe putts.
For added forgiveness, EVNROLL putters are available with customizable heel and toe sole weights. This allows players to customize their putter to fit their unique swing, and increase their MOI (forgiveness).
Versatility
Evnroll is renowned for its versatility when it comes to putter designs. Their ER2V, a blade style putter with a high MOI, is one of the best choices for players who are looking to upgrade from their current set of clubs.
The ER2V features precision milled grooves, a wide blade shape and premium aesthetics that make this putter stand out among the competition. It’s an ideal choice for golfers who want a putter that’s easy to use and will help them produce consistent results.
Using the same milling technique found in all Evnroll putters, the company created an advanced technology called “Sweet Face Technology.” This innovative technology provides golfers with unprecedented accuracy and dispersion without any sacrifice in performance or feel.
In addition to the Sweet Face Technology, Evnroll putters also feature a variety of unique head and hosel design options that allow users to customize toe hang and offset. This technology, which was developed by Evnroll’s founder Geurin Rife and Evnroll’s Chief Product Officer Stephen Riley, allows you to select your preferred hosel and head configuration so that you can personalize toe hang and offset for an optimal swing arc.
Another great option for those who like to customize their putting setup is the Evnroll V-Series putters. These putters offer six different swappable sole weights on each model. The popular EV2 picks up two of these weights and the newly-redesigned EV8 picks up three.
These weights can be added or removed to influence a number of factors, including the CG and Moment of Inertia. They can also be moved around inside the putter head to influence the swing arc.
With this versatility, a wide variety of Evnroll putters can be used by the average player and the more advanced player. The company offers eight different head designs within their V-Series, as well as a variety of hosel options.
As well as offering six different rear chassis options, the new EV5 Series also has an incredible variety of color combinations. Each EV5 model has an aluminum rear chassis with a 303 stainless steel face, and the head can be built in black, silver or two-color combinations.
